Prerequisite: Instructor's permission.
The Mathematics Clinic is a 3-credit course intended to give students
practical experience applying mathematics to solve real-world problems.
The clinic is conducted as a research team, with the students and faculty
working together to solve a problem of interest to a sponsoring corporation
or government agency. This Spring, our sponsor is

or technical background, but need not be mathematics majors.

If another netscape window comes up when you click on this file, you will
need to edit your preferences. Under Edit (top of Netscape), click on
Preferences. Then go under Navigator and click on Applications. Find the
descriptions which say: LaTex Document, TeX Document, text/tex. For each
of these, we want to change the "Handled By" to "Unknown: Prompt User".
To do this, highlight the appropriate "Description", click on Edit, and
then click on the box which says "Unknown:PromptUser". Then hit OK until
you are out of Preferences.
